SUPERVISORS
Supervision is an integral and valuable component of the training program for participants to become competent and self-reflective play therapists, whilst also ensuring participants feel adequately supported and guided in their initial learning stages with clients. Supervision (alongside CCPT client work) is therefore a required component for achieving certification for both Foundations in Child Centred Play Therapy and the Advanced Clinical Training in Child Centred Play Therapy.
Melanie Jansen

Melanie a Registered Psychologist and Board Approved Supervisor with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor with the Australian Play Therapists Association (APTA). Melanie currently works with children and families in private practice, play heal grow, in Perth and given her Advanced Clinical Training in Child Centred Play Therapy (CCPT), specialises in CCPT and Filial Therapy. She supervises intern psychologists for registration, and play therapists within the Australian Play Therapists Association’s (APTA) requirements for supervision towards registration as a Play Therapist.
Dr. William Nordling

Dr William Nordling is an international guest trainer and supervisor from the U.S and a respected leader in the field. He is a co-author of the award-winning book Child Centered Play Therapy: A Practical Guide to Developing Therapeutic Relationships with Children. Dr Nordling is a Professor for the School of Psychology -The Institute for the Psychological Sciences at Divine Mercy University. He is also Faculty and Co-Director of Certification Programs for CCPT and Filial Therapy for The National Institute of Relationship Enhancement (NIRE). Dr. Nordling is an active scholar, and in addition to his many publications, he has conducted over 200 presentations and training workshops nationally and internationally.

Naomi is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and member of the Australian College of Social Work (AASW) with over 20 years’ experience within child and adolescent mental health services. She is a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor and clinical member of the Australian Play Therapists Association (APTA). Naomi is also a certified Filial and Child Centered Play Therapist through the National Institute of Relationship Enhancement (NIRE; USA). Naomi works as a psychotherapist in private practice in Perth in the domain of infant, child and adolescent mental health, informed by Advanced Clinical Training from Play Therapy Australia and the Tavistock Centre (UK).

Donna is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), with over 30 years’ experience within child and adolescent mental health services. She is a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor with the Australian Play Therapists Association (APTA). Donna is also a certified Filial Therapist with the National Institute of Relationship Enhancement (NIRE; USA) and integrates Animal Assisted Therapy into her work with children. Donna is Principal Clinician for two private practice clinics in Melbourne providing child and adolescent therapeutic and supervision services.
Pek Lee

Pek is a Registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor with the Australasia Pacific Play Therapists Association (APPTA, RPT-S).
Pek holds both a Postgraduate Diploma in Play Therapy from Play Therapy Australia and a certification in Child Centred Play Therapy from the National Institute of Relationship Enhancement (NIRE; USA), and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the Psychotherapists and Counsellors Federation of Australia (PACFA). Pek currently works in private practice specialising in Child Centred Play Therapy and Filial Therapy in Perth.
Natalie McKenzie

Natalie is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and member of the Australian Association of Social Work (AASW). She is a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor with the Australian Play Therapists Association (APTA). Natalie works as a therapist in private practice in Lismore, NSW, with children and adults, and provides play therapy supervision to mental health professionals. Natalie is also the author of “Ash Goes to Play Therapy", a book designed for children, parents and professionals in understanding the Child Centred Play Therapy process.

Jay is a Registered Psychologist and Board Approved Supervisor with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). She is also a Registered Counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor with the Australasia Pacific Play Therapists Association (APPTA, RPT-S). Jay is Principal Clinician for a multidisciplinary private practice clinic in the South West of WA providing child, adolescent, and adult therapeutic and supervision services. She has a strong interest and training in Animal Assisted Therapy.
